If you were to meet and spend any amount of time with Yvonne Parks, you would walk away having seen a few very awesome and obvious things. She is a woman with a confidence in knowing the power of God’s love very real in her life. You would see her motivated with desire to share that revelation with others around her, and you would see a woman who loves to demonstrate both of those things through beautiful expressions of worship and creativity. And you would see her laugh. A lot!

She was only four when she began writing, singing and playing piano. Growing up, her family traveled as a singing group ministering inter-denominationally. (Yvonne jokingly compares her family’s singing background to a Christian Version of the Partridge family!) Her heart for “cross-pollination” between churches stems from this rich heritage.

In 1997, Yvonne and her husband Jason came into the Winnipeg Centre Vineyard when it was still a young church plant. They served there until 2006 as WCV’s Worship Coordinators, leading worship both together, and separately. They also spoke into other areas of ministry in the body such as Prophetic Ministry, and Small-Groups. For most of their 16 years of marriage, Jason & Yvonne have spent time travelling, building relationships with various denominations, teaching, and leading worship.

Yvonne's vision is to see people come into a FRESH knowledge of who they are in Christ, and freedom from hurts and negative patterns. It's about finding life in the dry times, finding true healing for past hurts, and freedom from addictions; both hidden, or simply socially acceptable. Through her own journey and encounters with Jesus, she has experienced unique Revelation about finding depth, passion and ultimately, healing. She loves humour, and is a funny and thought provoking speaker and teacher.

In May of 2006, Jason and Yvonne stepped out with friends to plant Sanctuary House of Prayer - Winnipeg . Sanctuary is a small community of people committed to the pursuit of God, and a future 24/7 worship environment (non-stop worship and intercession)

Yvonne's most recent project has been the recording of Only One Love (Forerunner Music) - her recent solo worship album. Previous recordings include:

  • Shake off the Dust (1999) - (WCV's second recording) selling 30,000 world-wide, on which she was a featured worship leader alongside friends, David Ruis, Kim McMechan, and Andrew Smith.
  • Yvonne and Jason live in Ottawa, Canada with their 2 adorable daughters Anneka Jewel (age 10) and Aila Jordan (age 7).
