Had a feeling you would get back to me last night so I got up early this morning to open your email.

Arleen and I had a day trip planned for today so I only had time to look and stare for a few minutes, Ok, it was five or ten minutes. Actually I was mesmerized. I even thought of keeping the cover a secret from wife until the finished book arrived, but I couldn't contain myself I dragged her into the office early in the A.M. with sleep still in her eyes then the two of us just sat in front of the monitor like little kids poking and touching at the screen. I have a printed copy beside me now that I keep reaching for.

From the get go I sensed you were a [I think] young talented artist. You should have warned me you were also a magician. The cover design you created is magical. You even made me look good, I keeping looking at my picture and asking my self "is that really me" who is Gary Thomas? Its like you got into my head-- the flag on the cover appears exactly as it should --an old memory tattered and worn with yellowed bits of tape barely holding it to a wrinkled piece of paper.
